A Visit to the 2012 Florida State Fair in Reverse

A new perspective is gained when viewing events in a different order!

The Florida State Fair was Definitely worth the visit and I would urge you to check it out, if you are interested.  As of the date of this posting, you still have one weekend left to take it in for yourself!

The evening was unusually cold for Florida on the night of our visit.

The lights and colors always remind me of fairs past.

Interestingly, not all who came did so for recreation or escape, some came to work!

The rides were plentiful and varied.

There were also animals of all types!

The exhibits and vendors were as you would expect and appeared to be doing a healthy business this year!

A talkative Robot amused the crowd.

There were singers and dancers that did not disappoint the viewers, who themselves were variously eating, talking and watching the show.

We sighted Elvis shortly after we entered the gate, though he was a bit taller than we expected him to be!

The crowds were already gathering when we arrived and I immediately noticed the typical vendors and sights of fellow fair goers quickly blending into the experience.

Some of my best memories growing up were of attending fairs on the west coast, so I was looking forward to visiting the Florida State Fair this year and it did not disappoint!

  7. I want a talkative robot for myself. It would fun and interesting for at least half an hour, and then I would probably sell him on eBay.

  32. It’s interesting. I never think of State Fairs in the winter, but it makes perfect sense. The weather is perfect down there (Florida) in the winter, leaving the summer months for the fairs to move north!

  40. How nice that you have shown an interest in my geriatric efforts to run a website. About to turn 86 (you’ll know this if you ever found time to read my stories under “My Life’ and “PNG” – standing for “Papua New Guinea”. You could say that I am a nun with a difference! That is why I am now living alone – the other nuns found my extremely extroverted nature not all that conducive to their desire for quiet and prayer. So here I live in my unit, by mutual agreement, able to devote time to this site. I originally hoped to encourage my readers to support my Cause – payment of school fees for the deprived children of PNG. . It hasn’t worked out except for two from the States, and one from Melbourne – that from 9.000 viewers! So I give up and write less frequently and I do it now, from my love of sharing! I look forward to checking more of what you are sharing. I found your personal details very interesting. Thank you, Mary (Sr Mary Noonan)

Thanks for being interested in what I write..loe the fairground picture as the colours are so Spiritual like auras…Loved them when I was young and often thought of joining the Fairground reading playing cards but gut said no ..this proved to be right…Lovely photos of Florida..Only been to New York, Washington, Boston, New Jersey in the past visiting relatives..Educational and great photography(something i am trying to learn as I glide along with bad eyesight)…getting there! I am amateur trying to write stories about Prophecy and this year they are writing themselves…will look in when I can …thanks for gorgeous ‘virtual journey’ here…much appreciated…Anna and Two Cats…Love to Pets…

  54. Thanks for stopping by my Blog as I am a real amateur writing true stories about Music Industry Prophecies mainly JDM..Love the Fairground colours ..looks like auras..Been looking out some ‘Faces in the clouds’ last night so will try and get these integrated into perhaps a FREE Video with Spiritual Words…Like the way you speak of family and pets…Never been to Florida but thanks to you I can have a ‘virtual tour’ sitting here…Been to New York, Washington, New Jersey(Farhills) where my mother’s two brothers lived and worked until they passed on..Still in touch with my cousin Anne from Ohio who still teaches…I am half Spanish and she is half Dutch and I like the way you speak of your family and pets…I am researching my grandmother’s link to Robert Burns(Famous Poet) but Archives were down to hopefully do a post on this and the reason I am writing about famous famous and bands is because this is how it ALL happened…I’m sorting some few hundred of my photos of the sky which have faces and shapes to die for…well nearly die for…Ha.Ha. Will look in later today after housework…I have chronic Eye Disease but have lots of medication so will just come when I can..I may move my Blog to a domain later this year but trying to find what people like best to make sure they are not disappointed…Anna and Two Cats..
